2 held over killing two children at Demra
DHAKA, Jan 9, 2019 (BSS) – Police in separate raids arrested two youths
on charges of killing two female children after being failed to rape in the
city’s Demra area.
“We arrested the duo, Golam Mostofa, 30, and maternal cousin, Md Azizul
Bawani, 28, from Bhangapress area under Jatrabari Police Station and
Mollabari Bridge area of Council under Demra Police Station on Tuesday
afternoon,” deputy commissioner (DC) of police Mohammad Farid Uddin of Wari
division told a press briefing at DMP Media centre here today.
The arrestees took two baby girls, aged about 4 and a half years,
and five years, to their room at Demra Thana area alluring them with giving
lipstick around 2 pm on Monday. They later took yaba and tried to rape them,
he also said.
“After being failed to rape them, the criminals strangulated them to
death and fled the scene, he said, adding that they recovered sandals of the
victims, a piece of cloth used in strangulating one of the children to death
and a lipstick,” he added.
Legal action was taken to this end.
