4 halls, library of JPC named after 5 journalists
DHAKA, Jan 8, 2019 (BSS) – Four halls and a library of Jatiya Press
Club (JPC) have been named after five eminent journalists.
The five journalists are late Maulana Mohammad Akram Kha, Zahur Hossain
Chowdhury, Abdus Salam, Tofazzal Hossain Manik Miah and poet Shamsur Rahman.
Outgoing president of the National Press Club Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman,
its newly elected president Saiful Alam and general secretary Farida Yasmin
jointly unveiled the plaques of these halls and library today.
Several senior editors, journalists and leaders of the newly elected
management committee of the club were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the National Press Club accorded a reception to outgoing
president Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman.
