Mahbub urges all to work for dev. of tourism industry

DHAKA, Jan 08, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali today urged all to work with honesty and devotion for development of the country’s most promising tourism industry.

“The Aircraft and airports are like the drawing room and gateway of a country… All should work sincerely to make both of them eye catching and tidy for real sense of development of the industry,” he told a meeting with the officials of his ministry at the secretariat here.

Former Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister AKM Shahjahan Kamal also addressed the meeting while Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Mohibul Haque gave the welcome speech.

Mahbub said around one crore Bangladeshi expatriates, live in different areas of the world, want to travel by the national flag carrier airplanes. “The airline authorities will have to make their travel comfortable and safe,” he added.

Meanwhile, the newly appointed state-minister was greeted by officials and employees of the ministry at the secretariate.

Civil Aviation Authority Chairman Air Vice-Marshal M Naim Hasan, Additional Secretaries Mohammad Imran, Mizanur Rahman and Mokabbir Hossain, among others, were present on the occasion.

Mahbub was elected as Member of Parliament from Habiganj-4 constituency in the 11th parliamentary election.
