DMP files 4,453 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Jan 6, 2019 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Saturday
filed 4,453 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule
violation.
It also realized 27.92 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation, said an
official release.
Of the total cases, 1,891 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 99
for using hydraulic horn, seven for using hotter and beckon light and 18
others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1,070 cases against motorcycles and seized 109 others for
violation of the traffic rules. Traffic police has dumped six vehicles and
wrecked 681 others.
