PM pays final tribute to Syed Ashraf
DHAKA, Jan 6, 2019 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina here today bid farewell to her close political associate and cabinet colleague Syed Ashraful Islam by paying floral wreath on his coffin.
The prime minister paid floral wreath on the coffin of Syed Ashraf following first namaj-e-janaja of the late leader at Jatiya Sangsad South Plaza.
Sheikh Hasina, flanked with party leaders also placed a floral wreath on behalf of Awami League on the coffin of Syed Ashraf, a former general secretary of the party.
Later, the prime minister took part in a munajat seeking doa for the deceased.
Syed Ashraful Islam, country’s one of the most reverent politician of contemporary period, minister for Public Administration and former general secretary of Awami League breathed his last at a hospital in Bangkok on Thursday last.
