95pc banners, posters removed in city: DSCC mayor
DHAKA, Jan 5, 2019 (BSS) – Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon today said 95 percent of polls campaign materials including banners, posters and festoons have already been removed from the capital city.
“Ninety five percent election campaign materials have already been removed from the city so far. Removal of makeshift election camps began today,” he said while inaugurating the works for removing makeshift camps at Segunbagicha area in the city.
The mayor said earlier the city corporation authorities urged the parliament members to remove the election campaign materials and they also cooperated with the city corporation.
He urged the citizens to inform their nearby city corporation officials if they found any more polls campaign materials in their locality.
Concerned ward councilors and DSCC officials were present on the occasion.
