JU VC greets Sheikh Hasina over AL’s landslide victory
DHAKA, Jan 2, 2019 (BSS) – Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Farzana Islam today congratulated Awami League (AL) President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on her party’s landslide victory in the 11th parliamentary elections held on December 30.
“I congratulate Awami League (AL) president and visionary of development Sheikh Hasina for landslide victory of Awami League, a party based on Bangabandhu’s ideology and Liberation War spirit, ” she said in a greeting message.
Farzana Islam remembered the greatest Bengali of all time and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, four national leaders and all martyrs of the Liberation War with gratitude.
Sheikh Hasina, dubbed as ‘mother of humanity’, is going to form the government for the fourth time following the spontaneous participation of the countrymen in the poll, the VC said, adding, December 30, 2018 will remain written in golden letters in the history of the Bengali nation.
Farzana also expressed gratitude to the country’s people for electing the candidates of Sheikh Hasina-led grand alliance with a huge margin in the elections.
