People reject BNP, Jamaat being inspired with LW spirit: Menon
DHAKA, Jan 1, 2019 (BSS) – Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon today said the people of the country have rejected both BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami being inspired with the Liberation War spirit.
“BNP could not avert their defeat even after giving their election symbol ‘sheaf of paddy’ to Jamaat. They will never be able to come to the state power if they do not come out of the umbrella of war criminals,” he said.
Menon made the remarks at a view exchange meeting with teachers, students and guardians at the Willes Little Flower School in the city’s Kakrail area, said an official release here.
Speaking about BNP’s rejection of the poll results, he said by rejecting the results of the elections, BNP has expressed their negative attitudes towards the elections again.
Throughout the voting day, they said the election was held in a free and fair manner, but in the evening they rejected the results, Menon said, adding that it is the evidence that they have become politically bankrupt.
Willes Little Flower School governing body chairman Arifur Rahman presided over the meeting while acting principal Abul Hossain took part in the meeting, among others.
