DHAKA, Dec 31, 2018 (BSS) – Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck today extended his heartfelt congratulations to Bangladesh Premier and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina on her party’s landslide victory in the 11th parliamentary elections.
“The Bhutanese King sent a message today congratulating Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on securing her party’s absolute majority in the national elections held on Sunday,” PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told BSS.
Jigme Khesar expressed the hope that the relations between the two countries will be further strengthened during the next five-year tenure of the Bangladesh prime minister.
