MADARIPUR, Dec 31, 2018 (BSS) Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan today said the BNP-Jamaat lost their acceptability as they were involved in mass killing and waste of resources of the country.
“BNP-Jamaat had committed mass killings in the country and burnt country’s property just a few years ago…People do not want to stay with them at all as the countrymen believe in the spirit of Liberation War,” he told newsmen at his residence here this afternoon.
He said the people liberated the country under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman that is why they did not support BNP-Jamaat in the 11th parliamentary polls held on Sunday.
Pointing out that the BNP has turned into a party which does not have backbone, the shipping minister said BNP wants to walk with the help of Jatiya Oikyafront top leader Dr Kamal Hossain’s stick.
“But BNP does not know this is a very fragile stick and they cannot hold any movement in this country with it,” he added.
Meanwhile, Madaripur Press Club greeted the 7th times elected Minister Shajahan from Madaripur-2 constituency with bouquet.
