Myanmar seizes large amount of stimulant tablets, narcotic drugs
YANGON, Dec. 27,2018 (BSS/Xinhua) — Myanmar authorities have seized 92,820 stimulant tablets worth of 185.6 million kyats (119,767 U.S. dollars) in Rakhine state, said a release from the Home Affairs Ministry Thursday.
The seizure was made by the local police force at a house in Latha village, Maungtaw township on Tuesday.
In the meantime, the authorities have seized over 1.33 billion kyats (860,806 U.S. dollars) worth of narcotic drugs in Sagaing region, said a release from the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control.
The drugs were seized on a car travelling from Indaw to Myitkyina on Tuesday.
Regional police has filed against all suspects under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
