Three held with 5,280 Yaba tablets in Shibganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Dec 26, 2018 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)
arrested three drug peddlers with 5,280 pieces of Yaba tablets in two
separate drives in Shibganj upazila of the district on Tuesday night.
RAB sources said the arrested person were identified as Abdul Karim, 21,
son of Abdul Latif of Terapara village, Abdur Rahim, 25, son of Ismail
Hossain of Namojagannathpur Charrasia village and Ataur Rahman, 25, son of
Gias Uddin of Boglauri village all under Shibganj upazila of the district.
RAB said acting on secret information, an operation team of RAB-5 from
Chapainawabganj camp raided Bonokul Square under Monakasha union of Shibganj
upazila around 5:40pm and arrested Karim and Rahim along with 3,863 Yaba
tablets.
In another operation, RAB team raided Koiladiar Umarpurghat Toll plaza area
under Shyampur union of Shibganj upazila around 9:50pm and arrested Ataur
along with 1,417 Yaba tablets.
Later, the arrested persons were handed over to the police of Shibganj
Thana with cases RAB said.
