4.9-magnitude quake jolts Myanmar’s northernmost state
YANGON, Dec. 24, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) – An earthquake measuring 4.9-magnitude
jolted Myanmar’s Kachin state on Monday morning, said a press release from
the Meteorology and Hydrology Department.
The quake struck at 03:02:18 local time (20:32:18 GMT).
Its epicenter was 27.3 km northwest of Danai.
“No information about damage is reported so far, ” an official of the
Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement told Xinhua.
