DHAKA, Dec 23, 2018 (BSS) – Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon today
sought vote for his party Awami League to ensure further development of the
country.
“We have to extend out support to ‘boat’, the poll symbol of Awami League
(AL) and its allies, in the national election to take ahead the spirit of
independence and Liberation War,” he said.
Menon was speaking as the chief guest at a views-exchange programme on the
upcoming 11th Parliamentary election at PWD colony at Paltan area here, said
a press release.
“During the last ten years AL government has successfully combat terror
activities in the country, he said.
The government has implemented various development programmes for the
wellbeing of the people.
Menon, also the president of Bangladesh Worker’s Party urged the people to
cast their vote for ‘boat’ in the national election to be held on December
30.
Central Police Hospital Superintendent Dr AKM Nizamuddin presided over the
programme.
Later, Menon distributed leaflets and led an election rally at the
residential and commercial areas of Paltan and Police Line area.
