BNP, Jammat have no achievements to seek votes: Mujibul Haq

DHAKA, Dec 23, 2018 (BSS) – Railways Minister M Mujibul Haq today lambasted the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and the Jammat-e Islami Bangladesh, saying these two parties have no achievements which can prompt them to seek votes.

“The BNP and Jammat are facing dearth of political capability. What they can do is to spread propaganda against the Awami League …they have no achievements for seeking votes to the people,” said the minister while addressing a series of election rallies at different places in Chowdhagram area.

Mujibul Haq said the Jammat and the BNP are isolated from the people and had no relation with the people for the last 10 years. Hence these parties have no right to seek votes to the people, he added.

In past, ‘Daripalla’ was the symbol of Jamaat e Islami but this year the party is contesting in the polls with ‘Sheaf of Paddy’, the minister said.

Mujibul Huq said earlier the BNP-Jammat nexus had betrayed with the people by forgetting them after getting votes. On the contrary, he said, the ruling Awami League never forgot the people.

Chowdhagram Municipality Mayor Mizanur Rahman, Cumilla district council member Faruque Ahmed Miaji, Upazila vice-chairman ABMA Bahar and ruling party leader Advocate Abdul Mannan, among others, attended the rally.
