GOPALGANJ, Dec 23, 2018 (BSS) – Visiting Grand Mufty Shaikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Palestine today said Bangladesh has witnessed a considerable progress in the past 10 years as the government has implemented various development programmes.
“I hope the present government led by Awami League (AL) should be re-elected for continuation of ongoing development spree in the country,” he told journalists while paying homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at his mazar here.
Mufty Shaikh said, “The entire Muslim world including Palestine is with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The present government led by Awami League is working for the well-being of Muslim Ummah.”
He offered munajat at the mazar seeking eternal peace of departed souls of the Father of the Nation and other martyrs of his family.
