DMP files 4,609 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Dec 23, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Saturday
filed 4,609 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule
violation.
It also realized around Taka 23.36 lakh as fine for traffic rule
violation, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 845 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 59
for using hydraulic horn, six for using hotter and beckon light and 16 others
for using tinted glass.
Police filed 2,044 cases against motorcycles and seized 69 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 24 vehicles and wrecked 621 others.
