Myanmar’s border trade through ITCs hits 7.65 mln USD in FY 2018-2019
YANGON, Dec. 22, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) – Myanmar’s border trade using
Individual Trading Cards (ITCs) totaled 12 billion kyats (7.65 million U.S.
dollars) as of Dec. 7 this fiscal year 2018-2019, the official Global New
Light of Myanmar reported on Saturday.
The country’s export through border gates using ITCs reached 2.2 billion
kyats (1.4 million U.S. dollars) while its import amounted to 9.9 billion
kyats (6.3 million U.S. dollars) from Oct. 1 to Dec. 7 this fiscal year.
Myawady border gate topped the list with trade value of 5.81 billion kyats
(3.7 million U.S. dollars) during the period.
The Commerce Ministry has issued a total of 1,544 ITCs so far since fiscal
year 2012-2013.
