Two killed in Gazipur road accident
GAZIPUR, Dhaka, Dec 22, 2018 (BSS) – Two truckers were killed and two
others injured as a truck rammed into another stationary truck from behind on
the Dhaka-Tangail highway in Kaliakoir upazila of the district today.
Police identified the deceased as Mizan, 28, son of Dulal Miah of Rangpur
Sadar Police Station and Delwar Hossain, 23, son of Kebor hailing at Hatia-
Rajabari area under Sakhipur Police Station in Tangail.
The accident took place early today while a Tangail bound truck loaded with
sand hit another sand laden non-functional stationary truck in front of the
square pharmaceutical factory, leaving driver Mizan dead on the spot and
three others injured, said Mirzapur Gorai Highway police Sub-Inspector (SI)
Md Tarifuzzaman.
The injured were taken to Mirzapur Kumudini Hospital where on duty doctors
declared the driver of stationary truck Delwar dead.
