DHAKA, Dec 21, 2018 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed
deep shock and sorrow at the death of Mosammat Sigira Khatun (Purushkar
Nesa), elder sister of President M Abdul Hamid.
In a condolence message, the prime minister prayed for eternal peace of
the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Sigira Khatun today died of old-age complications at her residence in
Kishoreganj district at the age of 82.
She breathed her last at her village residence of Islampur under Mithamain
upazila in Kishoreganj at 12 noon.
She left one son, seven daughters and a host of relatives to mourn her
death.
