Malaysian delegation UTM calls on UGC Chairman
DHAKA, Dec 18, 2018 (BSS) – A-seven member delegation from Universiti
Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) called on UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan at UGC
Bhaban here today.
UTM Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Professor Ir Dr Mohd
Azraai bin Kassim led the delegation, an UGC press release said.
Other members of the delegation include Professor Dr Mohd Ghazali bin Mohd
Nawawi, Chair, School of Chemical and Energy Engineering, Professor Dr Othman
Che Puan, Chair, School of Professional Continuing Education, Angela Pok Wei
Fun, Director, Transnational Education Division and Strategy, Zulkifli Bin
Osman, General Manager, Transnational Education Division, UTM, Syed M Ariful
Hasan, Managing Director, Knowledge Hub and Md Masud Rana, Director,
Knowledge Hub. Members of UGC and other high officials were present at the
meeting.
They discussed various aspects of higher education including collaborative
research, professional development of academia, need-based research projects,
exchange programmes for students and faculties between Bangladesh and UTM for
promotion and internationalization of higher education.
UGC Chairman welcomed the delegation and said that University Grants
Commission of Bangladesh always welcomes foreign assistance and cooperation
for internationalization of higher education.
He also assured the delegation of extending necessary cooperation in this
regard.
