DHAKA, Dec 18, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League in its election manifesto today pledged to formulate a media friendly act and ensure no misuse of any law against journalists and mass media.
“Effective measures will be taken to protect propagation of fake news and unexpected rumor. The journalism and news media which are loyal to social liabilities will be promoted from the government side,” AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said while announcing the party’s manifesto ahead of the national polls.
Steps will be taken for ensuring necessary trainings for the journalists to inspire them for investigating journalism, she said, adding that security of the journalists and media officials will be ensured for their professional duties.
