DMP files 2,129 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Dec 17, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Sunday filed
2,129 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation.
It also realized around Taka 13.76 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation,
said an official release.
Of the total cases, 358 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 37
for using hydraulic horn, four for using hotter and beckon light and 17
others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1,047 cases against motorcycles and seized 73 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped seven vehicles and wrecked 282 others.
