DMP files 3,547 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Dec 15, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Friday filed
3,547 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation.
It also realized around Taka 18.84 lakh as fine for traffic rule
violation, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 789 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 83
for using hydraulic horn, four for using hotter and beckon light and 20
others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1,641 cases against motorcycles and seized 89 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped seven vehicles and wrecked 52 others.
