52 gold bars seized at Osmani Airport
SYLHET, Dec 15, 2018 (BSS) – Airport Customs authorities seized 52 gold
bars worth around Taka 2.70 crore from an aircraft at Sylhet Osmani
International Airport on Saturday morning.
Assistant commissioner of customs intelligence Ahmedur Reza Chowdhury said
the gold bars, weighing 6.32 kilograms, were concealed in a box under a seat
of BG-248 flight that arrived here from Dubai around 9 am.
Three passengers were detained for interrogation in this connection.
Later, they were released, he said.
