70 DU students get Dean’s Award
DHAKA, Dec 11, 2018 (BSS)- A total of 17 meritorious students from different departments under the Faculty of Business Studies of Dhaka University (DU) today received “Dean’s Award” for their excellent academic results in BBA and MBA examinations.
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman distributed the awards among the brilliant students at a function held at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of the university.
Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies of DU Prof. Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam presided over the function while DU Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin addressed it as special guest.
President of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Barrister Nihad Kabir addressed the program as event speaker.
Chairpersons of the various departments declared the names of awardees.
Chairman of the Department of Organization Strategy and Leadership Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Mayeen gave vote of thanks.
The DU vice-chancellor called upon the students to prepare themselves with the combination of merit, truthfulness, patriotism and honesty.
“You must equip yourselves with humanitarian values to serve the nation”, the VC added.
He also urged the students to become entrepreneur to develop socio-economic condition of the country.
