Police directed to work with sincerity, professionalism

RANGPUR, Dec 10, 2018 (BSS) – Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Bangladesh
Police for Rangpur Range Devdas Bhattacharya today directed the police force
to work with utmost sincerity and professionalism for ensuring peace in the
society.

“Police forces should remain maximum vigilant for curbing crimes to keep
the law and order normal,” he said while presiding over the monthly crime,
law and order assessment conference for November-2018 held at his conference
room in the city.

Additional DIGs, Superintendents of Police (SP) from all eight districts of
Rangpur, Panchagarh, Thakurgaon, Kurigram, Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat, Dinajpur
and Gaibandha under Rangpur Range and other high police officials attended
the conference.

After discussions on the law, order and crime situations in Rangpur Range
last month, the DIG distributed medals among five police personnel and four
organisations for their impressive performances in handling crimes and
maintaining law and order.

Superintendent of Police of Nilphamari Muhammad Asharf Hossain received a
crest as the best district police award from the DIG for November on behalf
of Nilphamari district police.

Besides, Panchagarh Sadar Circle of Police, Lalmonirhat unit of Traffic
Police and Nilphamari Thana Police were awarded as the other three best
organisations for their excellent performances.

The other awarded police personnel are- Sub-Inspector (SI) Shariful Islam
of Dinajpur DB Police, SI Md Badruddoza of Jaldhaka Thana in Nilphamari, ASI
Shawkat Alam Siddique of Gobindaganj Thana in Gaibandha, SI Alamgir Hossain
of Lalmonirhat Sadar Thana and SI Selim Mian of Polashbari Thana in Gaibandha
districts.
