Govt takes project to recover canals at Keraniganj: Nasrul
KERANIGANJ, Dec 6, 2018 (BSS) State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid Bipu today said the government has taken a project of Taka thousand crore to recover the canals of Keraniganj.
“The government has taken a project of Taka thousand crore to recover the canals of Keraniganj upazila…recovering work of Shubhada canal has already started under the project,” he said.
He was speaking while exchanging views with the people after offering Jumma prayers at Alfalah Jame Mosque at Chowdhurypara at Chunkutia here.
He said after recovering the canals the whole scenario of the upazila would be changed.
Seeking the vote for the symbol of ‘boat’, he said, under the leadership of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina electricity would be reached at every corner of the country.
He said if people cast their vote for ‘boat’ the development process across the country would be continued.
Shubhada Union Parishad Chairman Hajji M Iqbal, South Keraniganj Swechchhasebak League President Mirajur Rahman Suman were present, among others.
