DMP files 4839 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Dec 6, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Wednesday filed 4,839 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation.
It also realised around Taka 32.31 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 821 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 76 for using hydraulic horn, seven for using hotter and beckon light and 21 others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1,652 cases against motorcycles and seized 116 others for violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 60 vehicles and wrecked 828 others.
