DMP files 4412 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Dec 5, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Tuesday
filed 4412 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule
violation.
It also realized around Taka 26.42 lakh as fine for traffic rule
violation, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 817 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 65
for using hydraulic horn, eight for using hotter and beckon light and 15
others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1786 cases against motorcycles and seized 127 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 57 vehicles and wrecked 813 others.
