Nahid asks Viqarunnisa’s governing body to suspend its three teachers
DHAKA, Dec 5, 2018 (BSS) – Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today asked
the governing body of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College to suspend its
three teachers over the suicide of a class nine student.
“We’ve also decided to cancel the teachers’ MPOs and asked the
authorities concerned to take legal action against them,” Nahid told a press
briefing at his secretariat office.
The three teachers are acting principal Nazneen Ferdous, shift-in-charge
of morning shift Jeenat Ara and class teacher Hasna Hena.
Aritry Adhikary was found hanging from the ceiling of her home in the
capital’s Shantinagar on Monday hours after she and her parents were
allegedly insulted by the three teachers of the school.
