DMP files 3,085 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Dec 2, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Saturday
filed 3,085 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule
violation.
It also realized around Taka 17.31lakh as fine for traffic rule violation,
said an official release.
Of the total cases, 265 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 53
for using hydraulic horn, seven for using hotter and beckon light and 13
others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 824 cases against motorcycles and seized 92 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 36 vehicles and wrecked 564 others.
