Bangladesh cultural delegation visits Ethiopia
DHAKA, Dec 02, 2018 (BSS) – A 13-member Bangladesh cultural delegation led
by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) Director Md Shawkat Farooque has
recently visited Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
“The cultural delegation performed cultural activities featuring dance and
songs in a festival held at a local hotel at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 23
November,” said a BSA official here.
The event titled ‘Reflection of Bangladesh’ was jointly organised by BSA
and Cultural Ministry of Bangladesh, he added.
Other members of the delegation include Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of
Culture GM Rafiqul Islam and singers – Tapan Chowdhury and Fahmida Nabi,
among others.
Ethiopian State Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Markos Tekle attended the
festival as the chief guest.
