State minister Ismat Ara mourns Taramon Bibi’s death
DHAKA, Dec 2, 2018 (BSS) – State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadique today expressed deep shock at the death of decorated Freedom Fighter Taramon Bibi, one of the two female liberation war veterans in Bangladesh obtaining the prestigious gallantry award-‘Bir Protik’.
Taramon Bibi breathed her last at her residence in Kurigram yesterday (Saturday).
In a message of condolence, the state minister recalled the outstanding contribution of Taramon Bibi to the country’s Liberation War in 1971 and said the nation will remember her war role forever.
Ismat Ara prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members of the late freedom fighter.
Besides, in a separate condolence message, Secretary (in-charge) of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs SM Arif-ur-Rahman also express profound shock at the death of Taramon Bibi and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
He also conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
