213 civilians killed in Afghanistan in November: report

KABUL, Dec 2, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) – Altogether 213 civilians were killed and
212 others injured in separate incidents and terrorist attacks in Afghanistan
in November, a monitor group reported Sunday.

“According to findings of Civilian Protection Advocacy Group (CPAG) 213
civilians were killed and 212 others wounded in all security incidents
throughout last month,” the independent CPAG group said in a press release.

Last month’s figures showed that the civilians’ casualties had declined
compared with October when 273 civilians were killed and 550 others wounded,
according to the statement.

“The CPAG findings showed the fighting, explosions and targeted killings
declined as winter approaching and peace efforts stepped up,” the statement
said.

The CPAG group is comprised of around 20 civil foundations active in
Afghan capital of Kabul and many other provinces, according to the statement.
