Myanmar holds commerce fair in Yangon

YANGON, Dec. 2, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) – The Myanmar Commerce Fair-2018 kicked
off at Yangon Convention Center Saturday, aiming to promote economic
development of the country.

Efforts are being accelerated to promote the private sector development,
to create economic opportunities as well as to attract more foreign
investment in the country, Union Minister of Planning and Finance U Soe Win
told the opening ceremony.

Scheduled for two days, the commerce fair is jointly organized by the
Office of the Auditor General of the Union, Myanmar Accountancy Council,
Myanmar Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Commerce Graduates’
Association (Myanmar).

The commerce fair features speeches by experts in relative fields,
industrialists and entrepreneurs from the country’s private sectors, focusing
on current and future aspects of Myanmar’s socio-economic issues.

Over 150 exhibitors took part in the commerce fair, showcasing products
and services from public and private sectors.
