2 held over double murder at Turag
DHAKA, Dec 1, 2018 (BSS) – Detective Branch (DB) of police unearthed the
mystery of the double murder case at Turag with capturing two persons
allegedly involved in the killings from the city’s Adabar and Shanirakhra
areas on Friday.
“We arrested two persons, Md Monir Hossain and Md Farid, for their
involvement in killing two people at Turag on October 20 last, from Dhaka
Udyan at Adabar and Shanirakhra areas around 4.15pm and 11.30pm on Friday
respectively,” said a DB official.
Police also recovered sharp local weapons, da and iron rod, used in the
killings, he said, adding that the arrestees confessed their link to the
double murder during preliminary interrogation.
Earlier on October 20, police recovered the bodies of Kamal Hossain, 24,
son of Shaikh Jalil of Sadarpur of Faridpur district and Imon Shaikh, 25, son
of Md Azam Shaikh of Nagarkanda of the same district, from 2 no plot at
Uttara under Turag Police Station.
Shaikh Jalil, father of the victim Kamal filed a murder case with Turag
Police Station to this end.
