Spanish government passes plan to create about 1,000 jobs

MADRID, Dec 1, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) – The Spanish government passed on Friday
a plan to create about 1,000 jobs.

The Reindus Program is a 400 million euros plan that aims at creating
around 1,000 jobs and boosting the industry sector in Spain.

Spain’s Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, said that
the industry sector is “a priority sector of the Spanish economy and should
be key for the development of the country in the coming years”.

Maroto explained that the program contributed to strengthen the
competitiveness of the Spanish industry and promote investments for
employment.

The Spanish industry sector represents 16.3 percent of the country’s GDP,
which is well below of figures of other countries and the European average,
which is at 17.6 percent.

The Reindus Plan grants loans to carry out projects for the acquisition of
industrial assets such as machinery, equipment or the construction of
industrial buildings.
