KUSHTIA, Nov 30, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary
Mahbubul Alam Hanif today said the government would not tolerate if the
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) wants to rehabilitate terrorists in the
name of level playing field.
The ruling AL leader told journalists after a view of exchange meeting with
the party men at his residence here this morning.
When law enforcement agencies carryout drives against criminals before any
poll, BNP always try to raise question over the lawful act as most of its
leaders and activists are involved with terrorism, he said, adding that with
the arrest issue they always claim that level playing field is not ensured by
the government which is not true.
Terming the BNP as a terrorist party, the AL leader said the law enforcing
agencies usually try to bring the identified terrorists under the purview of
law with a view to making the polls free, fair and impartial, adding that the
BNP always oppose it and BNP’s such attitudes prove that BNP itself is a
terrorist-oriented party.
Leaders and activists of the ruling party and its associate bodies
including District AL General Secretary Asgar Ali, Joint General Secretary
Engineer Faruque Hossen and Organising Secretary Mehedi Hasan were present.
