Tokyo stocks close higher for fifth day
TOKYO, Nov 29, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – Tokyo stocks closed higher for a fifth day
on Thursday, extending rallies on Wall Street that toasted a speech by
Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell hinting at a slower pace of rate hikes.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index added 0.39 percent or 85.58 points to end
at 22,262.60, while the broader Topix index was up 0.35 percent or 5.81
points at 1,659.47.
