2 drug traders held with 1.48 lakh Yaba tablets in Ctg
CHATTTOGRAM, Nov 28, 2018 (BSS)-Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two
alleged drug traders and recovered 1.48 lakh pieces of contraband Yaba
tablets after searching a gas cylinder-laden truck at Shah Amanat bridge area
under Bakalia thana this morning.
The arrested youths were identified as Mohammad Anisul Islam,40, hailed
from Sariatpur district and Kamal Hawlader, 41, hailed from Kotwali thana
area of Barisal Sadar city.
Masfukur Rahman, Assistant Director of RAB-7 said based on secret
information, a team of the elite force conducted a drive at the crossing of
Shah Amanat bridge around 5.45 am and seized 1.48 lakh pieces of contraband
pills concealed inside two empty gas cylinder of a Dhaka-bound truck from
Cox’s Bazar. RAB also detained the truck.
Masfukur Rahman told journalists that legal action will be taken against
the detainees.
