DHAKA, Nov 28, 2018 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today sentenced former Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) mayor and BNP leader Sadeque Hossain Khoka and three others to 10-year imprisonment each in a graft case.
Dhaka divisional special judge Mizanur Rahman Khan passed the order, fining Khoka Taka 20 lakh and other three Taka 10 lakh each.
The other three convicts are Unique Complex Shop Owners Association president Abdul Baten Noki, general secretary Mahmud Hasan Azad and Good Luck Car Parking company manager HM Tareq Atik.
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) assistant director Md Mahbubul Alam on February 15, 2012, filed the case with Shahbagh Police Station for corruption in leasing car parking area of Banani Super Market.
The court on November 29, 2015, framed charges against Khoka and issued arrest warrant against him.
