ASPIRANTS-FILE-NOMINATION PAPERS
Five aspirants file nomination papers in Khulna
KHULNA, Nov 27, 2018 (BSS) – At least five candidates including two Awami
League (AL) aspirants, two Oikya Front backed JSD aspirants and one Jaker
Party aspirant submitted their nomination papers today to take part in the
upcoming 11th general election.
AL aspirants Sheikh Salahuddin Jewel, nephew of Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Muzibur Rahman, filed nomination paper for Khulna-2
constituency while renowned former football player Salam Murshedi filed
nomination paper for Khulna-4 constituency at around 12.30pm with Returning
Officer Md. Helal Uddin.
Mayor of Khulna City Corporation(KCC) Talukder Abdul Khaleque, Parliament
member of Khulna-2 constituency Mizanur Rahman Mizan, Chairman of Khulna
District Council Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid and President of Khulna Chamber of
Commerce and Industry Kazi Aminul Haque, among others, were present.
Later, Jatiya Oikya Front backed JSD aspirant advocate A F M Mohsin filed
nomination paper for Khulna-3 constituency while Md Ayub Ali Kazi filed the
nomination paper for Khulna-6 constituency.
Besides, Jaker party aspirant M Edris Ali Khan submitted his nomination
paper for Khulna-2 constituency.
When contacted, Returning Officer Md. Helal Uddin, who is also the Deputy
Commissioner of Khulna told BSS that a total of five nomination papers was
filed today.
Aspirants will be able to file the nomination papers till 5pm tomorrow, he
said.
