DHAKA, Nov 26, 2018 (BSS) – The government has decided to celebrate December
12 as the “Digital Bangladesh Day” instead of the “National Information and
Communication Technology Day”.
“The cabinet at its regular meeting today approved a proposal to this
effect,” Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam told reporters after the
meeting held at Bangladesh Secretariat here this morning.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting.
The government celebrated the first-ever National Information and
Communication Technology Day on December 12 last year to make its “Digital
Bangladesh” concept a memorable one.
