DHAKA, Nov 25, 2018 (BSS) – The High Court (HC) today scrapped a writ filed over lodging of alleged ghost cases against leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) across the country.
The High Court bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder passed the order today.
The High Court passed a split order over the matter on October 9, prompting the chief justice to send the matter to another bench. After holding hearing on the matter afresh, the High Court today canceled the writ.
“The court scrapped the writ after hearing,” said deputy attorney general AKM Amin Uddin Manik.
