Road accident kills three in Kushtia
KUSHTIA, Nov 25, 2018 (BSS) – Three people were killed and 25 others
injured in two separate road accidents in the district today.
Officer-in-Charge of Khuksha police station ABM Mehedi Masud said a bus
plunged into a roadside ditch at Mirzapur on Kushtia-Rajbari Road as the
driver of the bus lost his control over the steering. Two people died on the
spot.
The deceased were identified as Mahatab Uddin, 50, and Alhaj Abdul Quader,
65. Both were the residents in Naogaon district. Twenty-five passengers of
the bus were also injured in the accident.
Besides, a motorcyclist died as a passenger bus hit him in Vanga Battoil area
in Mirpur upazila around 9 am.
The motorcyclist was identified as Masud Hossain, 50, a resident in
Mojompur area in Kushtia district town.
All the bodies were sent to Kushtia General Hospital for autopsy.
