Workshop on legal aid held in Faridpur
FARIDPUR, Nov 24, 2018 (BSS) – A workshop on national legal aid programme
was held at the judicial conference room of the district on Saturday.
Chaired by District and Session Judge as well as president of National
Legal Aid in Faridpur Md Helal Uddin, the workshop was addressed, among
others, by Chief Judicial Magistrate Abdul Hamid, Additional Chief Judicial
Magistrate Md Masud Ali, Joint District Judge Md Mahbubur Rahman, and Senior
Assistant Judges Mohammad Nayeem Firoz and Naurin Aktar Kankon.
The speakers said poor and marginal people are taking legal support from
the national legal aid programme without facing any trouble.
Journalists of both print and electronic media can play a vital role in
making the people informed of the success of the ongoing development
programme, they said.
Around 50 journalists and senior advocates participated in the workshop.
