One held with huge drugs in Mithapukur
RANGPUR, Nov 24, 2018 (BSS) – Members of the Rapid Action Battalion
(RAB-13) arrested an alleged drug trader with huge drugs and narcotics
substance from Rahamatpur area in Mithapukur upazila here on Friday evening.
The arrestee was identified as Esha Ali Shamim, 45, son of Khoybar
Rahman of Padmapukur village in Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur district.
A team of the Crime Prevention Company-3 of RAB-13 from its Gaibandha
Camp conducted a raid Rahamatpur area and arrested the drug trader red-handed
with huge drugs and narcotics substances,” a RAB press release said today.
The elite force seized 390 pieces of yaba tablets, 50 gram heroin, 10
bottles of phensidyl syrup and Taka 27,240 in cash from his possession during
the raid.
During the primary interrogation, the arrestee admitted his involvement
in drug trade for a long.
After filing a case in this connection, RAB handed over Shamim to
Mithapukur Police Station.
Two cases filed earlier against him with Pirganj and Mithapukur police
stations are now under trial.
