Archeology-based drama ‘Mahasthan’ staged

DHAKA, Nov 24, 2018 (BSS) – An Archeology-based drama titled ‘Mahasthan’
was staged at Mahasthangarh in Bogura district last night aiming to uphold
the political and cultural history and traditional artifacts of Bangladesh.

The two and half hours long drama was written by Dr Selim Mozahar and
directed by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy director general Liaquat Ali Lucky,
officials said.

Badrul Alam Bhuiyan, director of Drama and Film Department Bangladesh,
said Shilpakala Academy produced the drama with participation of 350 artists.

“Second exhibition of the play will be held today,” he added.

Cultural Affairs secretary Md Nasir Uddin Ahmed inaugurated the
exhibition while litterateur and novelist Prof Hasan Azizul Huq attended it
as the chief guest.

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy director general Liaquat Ali Lucky presided
over the function.
