Death toll climbs to 20 in Pakistan tribal region attack: officials
PESHAWAR, Pakistan, Nov 23, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – The death toll from a bomb
explosion which ripped through a marketplace in Pakistan’s restive northwest
Friday has climbed to at least 20 with more than 50 wounded, police said.
Initial results showed the blast was caused by “an improvised explosive
device hidden in a carton of vegetables, which killed 20 people and wounded
over 50 others,” Khalid Iqbal, a senior administration official in Orakzai
district in the semi-autonomous tribal areas, told AFP. A second official
confirmed the toll.
